What does garlic have to do with MLK Day, you ask? Absolutely nothing, really. But I finished this new little painting on this, my day off, so I thought I’d share. Add a little flavor to your life or something. Or maybe reflect on the fact that, without a little flavor (which comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors), our world would be a pretty boring place. So while we aren’t where we need to be as a country in terms of allowing all the colors and flavors skin can come in into our daily lives (not like, in a cannibalistic way, though…that’d be weird…I think I just freaked myself out) , we’re hopefully getting there bit by bit. Keep working at it, y’all. It’s worth it.

And now, for your viewing pleasure:

6" x 8" oil on board

5″ x 7″ oil on board
